The Sustainable Table is a small, melbourne-based environmental not-for-profit that recently published a self titled cookbook called The Sustainable Table, which Organic Empire is a proud contributor of.
The Sustainable Table is made up of stories and seasonal recipes from chefs, farmers, producers, winemakers and everyday people who are doing wonderful things in the way of food and sustainability. The book was developed to encourage behavior change and a sustainable and fair food system for all.
The ladies at the Sustainable Table also develop other income generating initiatives in Australia to support their work with grassroots communities in developing countries.
The Sustainable Table has recently funded a solar cooker project in a Tibetan province of China and a natural regeneration project in Kenya.
