This is a great Autumn smoothie, that utilises all the seasonal flavours and one of the most nutrient dense vegetables, organic kale.
1 small organic cos lettuce, chopped
1/2 bunch organic curly or black kale
2 organic stalks celery
1 cup water- filtered
1 organic apple cored chopped
1/4 organic lemon, juiced
1 organic pear-ripe, chopped and cored
1 ripe organic banana
Take the leaves from the kale, discard the stems. Place in the blender with the rest of the ingredients and blend till smooth. You can add ice if you prefer , and reduce water content.
