This dinner would have to be one of the easiest meals to prepare, versatile and delicious.
5 washed organic potatoes (sebago, ottway red etc)
Toppings of choice can include:
organic butter
organic sour cream
organic cheese
organic red and green cabbage
organic celery
organic parsley
organic carrot
organic cucumber
organic spring onions
organic salsa
Organic olive oil
Salt
To prepare the potatoes, heat the oven to 200 degrees. Using a fork, make indentations on the potato about 6, using a knife, cut a shallow cross at the top of the potato (this allows the heat to enter and escape more effectively).
Dependent on your oven bake for around 40-1hr, they are ready when they are uniformly soft. Cut open and serve with toppings of your choice.
We recommend an organic coleslaw made by finely shredding both organic green and red cabbage (1/4 each), x 2 grated organic carrots, organic cucumber chopped, 2 spring onions chopped, handful of finely chopped parsley and 3 stalks of celery. ( )
Vegan by using olive oil, and a sprinkle of himalayan salt
For dairy version ; splash of organic butter, sour cream and organic grated cheese
and you have a very healthy bake potato.
